Jason graduated with a degree in Psychology from Swansea University in 2008, after which he spent time as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist. In 2009 he studied an MRes in Brain Imaging and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Birmingham, and then a BBSRC CASE PhD on the Neuropsychopharmacology of Appetite in 2010, under the supervision of Professor Suzanne Higgs and Dr Colin Dourish, both at University of Birmingham and University of Oxford, in collaboration with his industrial sponsor P1vital. Between 2013-2016 Jason worked on a social norms approach to healthy eating as an ESRC Research Fellow at University of Birmingham, before taking up a Lectureship at Aston University in 2016. He completed his PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in 2017 and became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2019. He was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Psychology in 2020, and is presently the Programme Director for Psychology BSc at Aston University.
